HF / VHF Radio Predictions:

Do It Yourself (DIY) EME.

Many amateurs have asked what it takes to build an EME system. On this page we will have information and links to a lot of sites that have the details that you might need to start or to equip an existing site with a transmitter / receiver. We will also link to some video feeds of EME contacts and a site that lets you play with the output of an EME receiver.

Listen to EME

One of our favorite sites for EME reception is located at Dwingeloo The Netherlands. The site lets you tune into the various channels on L-Band on the receiver base band and listen to the contacts. These are usually live when the moon is in view or a recent recording. Java is needed.

More WebSDR receivers can be found here: http://www.websdr.org/.

There are links to almost everything EME here: http://www.vhfdx.net/eme.html

Building a Site

To start our list of links, we will look at a site being built by KL7UW. This site is useful for guidance to what is required for a Modest/Large home EME station. It also has the information for those looking to see what is required for the RF stages of an EME station. The site has many good station drawings.
