Pat Barthelow and myself, Robert Brand got together just 2 years ago to celebrate the 40th anniversaries of the Apollo missions and to stimulate space outreach and education. Both of us are amateur radio operators and so it seemed obvious. World Moon Bounce Day (WMBD) was formed - well it's more like a weekend.
