UpLift 1 Mission Announced. As you may have realized, I love space and I have a real desire to be involved in Do-It-Yourself space missions. This is a part of that process. I am announcing my first weather balloon project - a series that I have named UpLift for rather obvious reasons. The mission progress and outcome will be posted here as it progresses. Currently I am working with a Primary School and a Secondary College here in Sydney, Australia and I hope to include a local school in the middle of NSW. Well we don't stand still for long at EOA. Who are we. Echoes of Apollo (EOA) is a 2 person operation. Pat Barthelow and myself, Robert Brand got together just 2 years ago to celebrate the 40th anniversaries of the Apollo missions and to stimulate space outreach and education. Both of us are amateur radio operators and so it seemed obvious. World Moon Bounce Day (WMBD) was formed - well it's more like a weekend.
