Earth from Apollo: Historic Original Photo
One of the first Apollo missions circled the Moon and took this photo of the complete orb of Earth. The series of similar images that Apollo brought back had worldwide impact, as people saw for the first time what we had always known — we live on a single living planet, in an ocean of space.
