“Moon”
Sony Picture Classics indie sci-fi film is nearly here and they have released the first trailer. It stars Sam Rockwell and it first premiered at Sundance this year. The score is by Clint Mansell, and it’s overall a fantastic two minute temptation to see of one of the best Sci Fi films of the year. One critic called it “gritty, dark, lightly comical, and thoroughly entertaining” (firstshowing.net)
Apollo 13
This is the classic Apollo movie that you must see. It is as accurate as it gets. I personally was riveted to the NASA voice comms from the spacecraft when I was at work. For the best part of a week I listened to the uncensored transmissions from Apollo 13. It was more rivetting than the Apollo 11 mission because you knew that these guys were living on the very edge of existence and only had a slim chance of making it back alive. I recommend that everyone see this movie. These comments courtesy of your Echoes of Apollo Events Manager, Robert Brand, who was working at the OTC Sydney transmission centre when this drama was unfolding.
